I Heart VBS.TV

“Steal what you need to steal” – Terry Hall.

VBS.TV is the online video channel offshoot of Vice Magazine. It features a variety of programming which really appeals to my sensory apparatus! Artists and musicians interviews, social and cultural documentaries – they’re all here. The above video is part 2 of an interview with Terry Hall from the Soft Focus UK show. There’s not much else I can say about this channel apart from that it is brilliant. Tune in now!

But one recommended documentary you should watch for starters though is Columbian Devil’s Breath. It’s subject is the story of Scopolamine, possibly the most dangerous drug on the planet and defiantly not for recreational use. Scary stuff indeed.

Lichtfaktor lights it up..

Wow, these guy do amazing work with light trails in motion. I found this video on Hobnox as one of the great entries to the Hobnox Evolution Contest. I was of course very impressed and needed to see more of the lights fantastic! So I navigated my way through the interweb to discover the Lichtfactor website and was treat to two more great videos. The Youtube video above does this no justice, I implore you to go see the better quailty version from Hobnox or their own site! Youtube is the big box store with woeful bad encoding don’t ya know!
The soundtrack on this and another on the site is by The Green Man. I hear the Mac trash empty!

Something to play with

I love these little online virtual synthetic toys. The Tony-B Machine is one of these. The samples on this one are a tad cheesy, but there is a bit of control on it to make it sound good. Here’s my first attempt at it. It just a little under ten minutes which is stretching it a bi to hold any interest, but it gets pretty sweet about half ways in. There’s lot more on the site including stats and an evolving community, so go have a play… it’s great fun.
